Alpacas of Montana is a family-owned alpaca farm in Bozeman with over 150 of the cute little camelids. And while the owners spend most of their time producing high-quality handcrafted alpaca products, you’re welcome to schedule a farm tour. And if you happen to be in the area on October 11, 12, or 13, you can attend the world’s most adorable open house and interact with the alpacas yourself.

It all started when two of the current owners, James and Sarah, decided to go into business together… but when they started doing some research, nothing seemed to suit them.

Alpacas of Montana Facebook Then, one day, James came across an article about alpaca farming. Sarah was initially opposed, but when James’ sister sent them a flyer about alpaca farming, they took it as a sign.

The alpaca products made from the fiber of these creatures has numerous benefits.

Alpacas of Montana Facebook Alpaca fiber is warmer and stronger than wool, comfortable and versatile to wear, and hypoallergenic. The team at the farm works with local knitters to produce their products.

Every October, Alpacas of Montana hosts an open house to allow the community to come to the farm and meet the alpacas.

During your time on the farm, you’ll be able to pet, feed, and take photos with the alpacas and their sweet babies.

The Alpaca Open House is a must-see for every animal lover in Gallatin County.
