The town of Quapaw might only have less than 1,000 residents but it’s home to one of the coolest roadside attractions in the state - the Tri-State plaque where you can stand in three states at one time. Quapaw is located in far northeastern Oklahoma, where Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri all meet.

To find this intriguing place, take Exit 1 off I-44 in Missouri. Head to Downstream Blvd, then look for the sign pointing you in the right direction.

From there, you will travel down a gravel road…yes you have to get your car a little dirty to visit this attraction. But don’t worry it’s not too long of a drive.

You’ll see the monument in the ground when you come to a dead-end on the gravel road.

It’s now protected by guard rails, so you’ll want to park and walk over to it. Here, you’ll see the spot marking all three states in one location.

Just down the way is another cool monument to check out. It’s made of rock and is in the shape of a cylinder.
