The Farmers’ Almanac recently released its weather predictions for winter 2020. And while mild winters are the norm in Mississippi, it looks like this one will be one of the warmest. It’s also likely to be one of the wettest. Read on to learn more about what you can expect this winter.

According to the Farmers’ Almanac, this winter will be pretty brutal… for most of the nation. Mississippi, on the other hand, can expect brisk, above-normal temperatures, so don’t go pulling out that winter wardrobe just yet.

A white Christmas isn’t common in Mississippi, but it does happen from time to time – however, it won’t be happening this year.

While the rest of the country is dealing with frigid temperatures and above-normal snow and sleet, the Gulf Coast, along with Florida and Texas will be enjoying pleasant temps.

But warmer temps aren’t all the season will bring. The Magnolia State is also slated to get lots of rainfall this winter.

In fact, the almanac predicts that the Deep South will be saturated by what seems like never-ending rain.
