Did you know that the very first steakhouse in Wilmington is still leaving a mark on the city’s restaurant industry? When the Constantinou family first started a deli in 1941, they had no idea that all these years later they would still be running one of Delaware’s finest steakhouses.

Walter’s Steakhouse has been a Wilmington legend for over 25 years, but its true history goes back to Constantinou’s House of Beef, founded in 1959 and considered Delaware’s first steakhouse. The Constantinou family opened up Walter’s in 1993.
