In 1950, the town of WaKeeney was nicknamed, “Christmas City Of The High Plains.”

Complete with a 35-foot-tall artificial Christmas tree that serves as the town’s Christmas centerpiece.

WaKeeney is considered the largest Christmas display between Kansas City & Denver.
