When the leaves in Utah start to turn, the Wasatch Mountain turn into a blaze of rich color. The fall palette of red, orange, and yellow brightens up the scenery and makes everything just a little bit more beautiful. Bridal Veil Falls is no exception. This gorgeous waterfall is easy to access, and if you can make some time to see it in the next couple weeks, you’ll be rewarded with some special autumn views.
It’s an easy journey to get to Bridal Veil Falls. The waterfall is right off US 189, about four miles up Provo Canyon.

…and you’ll have some beautiful views right from your car. You can take photos from the parking lot and enjoy the fall colors on the mountains surrounding you.

There are plenty of fall foliage views here, and if you’re in a hurry to be somewhere else, just pulling in and getting a glimpse might be good enough.

But if you’ve got some time to explore, why not hop out of the car and get a closer look? There’s a short trail that will take you from the parking lot to the base of the falls, and you can even climb another path to get close-up to the water.

As you walk down the path, you’ll be literally surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall.

Bridal Veil Falls is a 607-foot-tall waterfall that tumbles down the mountain in tiers. This beauty is always an impressive sight, but she’s even more gorgeous when decked out in fall foliage.

Continue along the path right to the bottom of the waterfall, or take the hiking trail up the side of the mountain, where you’ll be just a few feet away from the crashing water that descends from the second cataract of the falls. Going out onto the rocks near the falls is dangerous, especially during fall months when they can be covered with ice.

You can extend your adventure by following the Provo River Parkway 2.5 miles up the canyon to Vivian Park.
