That’s certainly the case for Hocking Hills State Park, a jewel of Ohio’s Appalachian region that has been seriously underrated. And yet, there’s been a recent uptick in visits over the past year alone. For this very reason, you’ll want to plan your trip to the beloved state park if you’re interested in seeing it without the major crowds.

There are plenty of up-and-coming destinations in the U.S. that will take you away from the crowds and into the peaceful surroundings of nature.
