While Labor Day might be upon us, the summer isn’t really over just yet. In fact, we’d argue that the excitement for warm weather and sunshine is at its peak right about now. There’s nothing like the threat of winter to get us out of the house and enjoying all the last minute things we know we’ll be missing in just a few months. If you’re doing the same thing, head to this lake beach in New Hampshire. It’s got so much sand and it might just be better than the ocean beach!
One of the best lake beaches in the state is located on the southwest shore of New Hampshire’s largest lake, Lake Winnipesaukee.

The beach is a whopping 600-feet of soft, white sand and it’s the perfect place to get in some mountain breezes without having to share a towel with the stranger next to you. There’s plenty of room here for everyone!

The lake is beautiful and almost a tropical green. Plus there are some sweet views across the lake towards the Sandwich and Ossipee mountains.

There’s a capacity here, which means that once a certain number of people have come in the entrance will close until people begin to leave.

And while this beach is large, warm summer days do see a lot of visitors. That means you’ll want to show up early to make sure you get a spot.

And of course anything you’d do on the ocean beach is allowed here too. Bring all the equipment you need for that epic sand castle and don’t forget the paddles and ball!

And then make sure to visit when the weather gets cooler for some equally as stunning views.

In addition to the beach there are trails, a campground and lots of other things to explore. So don’t put this place on your summertime-only list. It’s great as long as you can make the trip!
