How lucky are we to live in a state with so much pure natural beauty that it would probably take a lifetime to see it all? Pull out that bucket list now, and add the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania, perhaps one of the state’s most spectacular natural wonders.
Tucked in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in Milford, Raymondskill Falls holds the title of the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania.

Before you can see the 150-foot natural wonder, however, you have to embark on a short but scenic hike along the Raymondskill Creek Trail.

The .6-mile loop hike is rated between easy and moderate. You will have to deal with some steep climbs, however.

You’ll likely hear the gushing of the waterfall before you first see it. If you’re hiking along the Raysmondskill Creek Trail, you can view the waterfall from a lower viewing area and a higher viewing area.

The waterfall, which is slightly shorter than Niagara Falls when each tier is added together, provides the picture-perfect backdrop for photographs and selfies.

From May through October, the waterfall can get really busy with Pennsylvanians and out of state visitors.

If you visit during the sweltering days of summer, do not attempt to swim in or near the falls. Swimming is prohibited in Pennsylvania’s waterfalls and within 50 feet of waterfalls.
