Gingerbread Wonderland is an annual event held at the Norway House in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This year, the event raises money and donations for Hats & Mittens, a nonprofit that collects winter gear for homeless children.

The event invites bakers of all experience and skill levels to create buildings, people, and other objects out of gingerbread. Then, the creations are put on display!

For $5 a person - free for children 12 and under - you can explore the creativity of Minnesota’s novice and professional bakers. After you’ve seen it all, you can even vote on your favorites in several different categories.

As you walk through the gallery-turned-gingerbread wonderland, you’ll find many familiar landmarks in gingerbread form. For example, here’s a replica of Matt’s Bar, a Minneapolis landmark famous for its Jucy Lucy burgers.

An even more elaborate replica is not far away from Matt’s Bar. If you think the St. Paul Cathedral is impressive in real-life, wait until you see it in gingerbread!
