When you’re looking for an outdoor adventure right in the city, Liberty Park is a great choice. The 80-acre park was established back in 1881 by Brigham Young, and we have to say that we’re glad he had the foresight to put aside this pretty space. Liberty Park is absolutely beautiful during all four seasons of the year, but when there’s snow on the ground and covering the trees, it’s truly a winter wonderland.
We love Liberty Park year-round, but when that first dusting of snow hits the Salt Lake Valley, we really start anticipating the winter wonderland that’s to come.

A fresh, white blanket of snow looks amazing across the lawns in the park. It’s almost too pretty to walk on.

The folks who maintain this park are pretty quick to shovel the sidewalks that go in a circle around the park, and cut through it in the middle. You’ll certainly want to take a stroll through the trellises, and maybe even take a seat on one of the benches for a minute.

It’s particularly pretty when it’s frozen. Don’t worry - the geese and ducks still hang out on the shore or on one of the little islands in the middle of the pond.
