Colorado just experienced what was arguably the hottest and longest summer in recent years, but now fall is officially here, and we can begin to enjoy these cool yet comfortable temperatures and overall perfect days. Right? Wrong! Welcome to Colorado, folks, where it is a perfect 70 degrees one day and cold and snowy the next, which is what is in the forecast beginning Thursday:
According to USA Today, the early-season snowstorm will dump as much as 12 inches of snow across the north-central Rockies and into the northern Plains, with warnings and watches already stretching as far away as Minnesota.

As per CBS4 Denver, snow isn’t the only thing expected to hit the Centennial State, as rain should be making its way into Colorado as early as Wednesday evening.

With snow comes freezing temperatures, and this storm is no exception, with a predicted 60-degree drop within a span of 12 to 24 hours.

Currently, the record low for October 11th in Colorado is 22 degrees (set in 1946), which we are expected to shatter with upcoming predictions of only 16 degrees.
