Built in the late 1700s or early 1800s, it’s among the area’s oldest buildings.

In its heyday, the Under-The-Hill historic district was a melting pot for criminals, so it should come as no surprise that the saloon’s past customers included prostitutes and thieves.

Throughout the years, the building has served many purposes. Before becoming a bar, it was used as a brothel, warehouse, and general store. Today, it’s a bar that’s popular among locals and tourists alike.

The monetary décor is actually one of the saloon’s signature rituals. That’s right; customers are invited to leave their mark by tacking a dollar bill to the ceiling.

There’s more to the saloon than historical value and quirky décor, though. There are also cold drinks and tasty bar grub.

In true southern fashion, the bar features a roomy front porch with rocking chairs, which are perfect for taking in a Mississippi River sunset.
