In the past, more than 20,000 people have showed up to Sparks’ Victorian Square for Pumpkin Palooza, and this year is looking bigger and better than every. Considered Nevada’s largest pumpkin celebration, this event is a great way to embrace the seasonal and Halloween spirit.

The magic-filled day is filled with all sorts of unique activities. The most notable event is Nevada’s only “pumpkin derby”, in which you craft your own pumpkin racer and compete against others. It’s downright silly, but it’s also pure, good fun.

Other attractions include the pumpkin beauty salon, a family costume parade, haunted storytelling, pie eating contests, and live music. And that’s just scratching the surface! You’ll be wishing you had more than just one day to experience it all.

Additionally, the festival will host more than 70 vendors and food trucks. Spend some time shopping among the booths of local handmade goods and grab lunch at your favorite food truck. New this year is an all-inclusive experience called the Trick & Treat Tour. For $25, your kiddo can enjoy up to 20 games at Midway Magic and pumpkin to decorate and take home. Additionally, you’ll receive a trick & treat bag for carrying all of your goodies.
