I’m a die-hard wing fan and when I heard about a spot in New York City with dozens of sauces, I was intrigued. Sure, this was a nugget joint, but nuggets aren’t that far off from boneless wings…my favorite. I started to see it EVERYWHERE. My friends were sharing it on social media left and right, and I didn’t want New York to get all the hype. I said I could find somewhere better in New Jersey and, I did!
Marley’s Gotham Grill in Hackettstown is heaven for wing lovers. Just look for a bright yellow building with purple trim, and you’re there.

The dining area is open and inviting, with old school charm. The adjacent bar area is equal parts cozy and lively.

On my visit, I went with buffalo mild boneless wings - they were magnificent. My tasting partner tried “pain” and mango habanero bone-in wings - also amazing. But that’s just the beginning…

Portions are plentiful but for the best deal on wings, visit on Mondays or Wednesdays. On Monday, it’s “beat the clock” on bone-in wings – discounts start at 6 p.m. – the earlier you arrive, the better the deal. Wednesday is all about bone-out wings, just 60 cents each (sold by the dozen). You can also enjoy free pool and trivia on Wednesdays. Karaoke is on Thursdays!
