Nevada is a pretty great place to be during the Halloween season, especially if you love a good scare. Our state is loaded with unique and creepy attractions, including a myriad of terrifying haunted houses. In fact, it’s here that you’ll find what’s been dubbed the scariest haunted house in the country, and we mean it when we say it’s not for the faint of heart. This chilling haunted attraction has been featured nationwide for its intense theatrics and scare factor, and visitors are even required to sign a waiver before they participate. Think you have what it takes? Read on to see what kind of crazy things you’ll come across at this one-of-a-kind haunt.
The Freakling Bros. history in Las Vegas goes way back. They first started providing spooks to locals over 40 years ago, although their operation was way smaller back then. Today, the haunted attraction is one of the largest and scariest not only in the state, but in the entire country.

This particular haunted attraction has been rated the #1 scariest haunt in the country by USA Today, and they’ve made national headlines elsewhere too. That’s because this haunt does NOT mess around, and they are totally committed to scaring your pants off at all costs.

Freakling Bros. Horror Shows is a mega haunted attraction which is comprised of three separate haunts. Called the “Trilogy of Terror”, each show stands by itself and can be experienced on its own. In fact, you may just find you don’t have it in you to do all three at once!

This year, the three shows you can attend are Coven of 13, Castle Vampyre, and—the scariest of them all—Gates of Hell. Gates of Hell was originally unveiled in 2011, and it’s still considered Nevada’s one and only R-rated haunted attraction.

Nobody under the age of 13 is permitted in Gates of Hell, and you must be at least 17 to enter without a parent or guardian. All guests, regardless of age, are required to sign a waiver before entering. Described as “a sadistic experiment in absolute sensory overload”, this is definitely not for the faint of heart.

It’s hard to say exactly what you’ll experience when you enter the Gates of Hell, but one thing’s for sure—it’s no walk in the park. The Gates of Hell was designed for a niche, adult audience who want something more from a haunted house experience.

Whichever show you choose to participate in, prepare to feel like the star of your own personal horror movie. Trained actors and an assortment of visual effects will completely immerse you in a sadistic world that revolves around only one thing: terrifying the crap out of you.

Freakling Bros. has gained quite the reputation over the years. Even the Ghost Adventures Crew, led by Zak Bagans himself, stopped by last year to see if it was actually haunted. Whether real ghostly spirits reside here or not is up for debate. Regardless, you’ll be convinced there’s something deeply wrong with this place after just one visit.
