When driving at night in North Dakota, pretty much all roads that aren’t within a town or city are unlit, not a street lamp to be seen. Just normal late night driving can be a little bit creepy sometimes, especially when you don’t pass by anyone for a while and are surrounded by complete darkness other than your high beams. But this road definitely tops them all when it comes to creepy.
This particular road is perfectly normal during the day like in this picture, but it is said that around midnight every night, something downright creepy can be seen…

A ghostly woman in a white dress walks across the road each night at this time, and she has a rope around her neck. The story goes that this woman hung herself near there back in the 1940s after hearing of her husband’s death in the war.

The road is located between the towns of Akra, ND and Leroy, ND. 137th Ave is the road; the exact location on it where she can be seen is unknown.

Both are small and Leroy is pretty much abandoned, but small towns can hold dark secrets from long ago.

Today, there are some people who are brave enough to try and see it for themselves by driving there in the middle of the night, and some have claimed it to be true. Would you be brave enough?
