Picnic Point Park is a peaceful, scenic spot located in Snohomish County north of Lynnwood. And while the waterfront scenery is absolutely delightful, if you go at low tide, you might see more than you bargained for. Picnic Point is known for being near a “ship graveyard”. The remnants of multiple old ships lie in the area, and on the right day, you just might spot one.

Editor’s note: While Picnic Point is a public park, the area where the ships lie is on private property. Look, but do not approach — trespassers will be prosecuted. 

Picnic Point is a quiet, little known park that the locals love.

Picnic Point is a relatively small area, but you can walk over 1.5 miles here, especially when the tide is low.

The ship graveyard isn’t as creepy as it sounds – there just happen to be several old ships who have found their final resting place here.

The Pacific Queen, like the rest of the ships, is on private property, so approach with caution (and please don’t touch it).

None of the stories of these ships are spooky, but there’s something about seeing these remains that are a little eerie.
