Chicken wings can be hit or miss. They can be a soggy mess or dried out and bland, but when they’re done right, they’re a delicious treat. Trolley Wing Company has the best wings in the Beehive State, and if you’ve never tried them, it’s time to visit.
Trolley Wing Co. got its start in 1999, in an actual trolley car at Trolley Square in Salt Lake City. The restaurant currently has locations in Sugarhouse and Midvale.

Both locations are cozy spots with plenty of seating, friendly service, and sports on the TVs. Trolley Wing Co. is for patrons 21 years and older.

The wings here have been named Best Wings in Utah for the last three years, and you’ll see why when you give them a try. These wings are not fried, they’re twice-baked, and they’re unlike anything you’ve ever tried.

Before you can start digging in, you have a few decisions to make. First, you’ll choose the type of wings you want: bone-in, boneless, veggie, or vegan.

Then, choose your flavor from eight different classics — everything from cajun honey BBQ to honey mustard.
J. Daniel Wilson/Google You can also create your own by combining any of 17 different flavors.
Finally, choose your heat: mild, medium, hot, or atomic. You’ll get some celery, carrot sticks, and ranch sauce to cool your tongue down.
Ryan Lackey/Google If you’re up for a challenge, eat 12 wings coated with flaming hot enema sauce, and do it without veggies or dressing in 15 minutes or less and your food is free! You’ll have to sign a waiver first.
The wings are amazing, but you might want to give some of the other food here a try, too. The Trolley Chips are masa-battered waffle fries coated in garlic parmesan cheese or cajun dust, and they’re downright addictive.
Ryan Lackey/Google The jalapeno poppers, mac-n-cheese bites, and fried pickles are also delicious.
Pair your wings with an ice-cold beer…

…or have a cocktail or shot. There’s a fully-stocked bar here.
