This town takes its Christmas celebration seriously, and it begins with the annual Tuba Concert. It’s held at Two Rivers-Dos Ríos Elementary, and it starts at noon on Saturday, December 7th.

It wouldn’t be a Christmas parade without an appearance from everyone’s favorite man in red. Keep an eye out for Santa, and make sure to wave as he passes by.
David Geitgey Sierralupe/flickr The Springfield Christmas parade is billed as “the oldest and coldest in the state.” At 67 years old, it’s likely the oldest…but for the 2019 parade, the weather service is predicting temperatures in the 50s, so while it will be chilly, it shouldn’t be too cold.
