Drive-in theaters may be a thing of the past, but you can still find one here in the Magnolia State. That’s right; there’s a real drive-in hiding in small town Mississippi. Providing a viewing experience that’s sure to be as memorable as it is nostalgic, a visit to the state’s only drive-in belongs on your bucket list. Take a look:
Iuka is a tiny town in Tishomingo County that’s home to about 3,000 residents and the state’s only drive-in theater.

Because of its remote location, the theater could be easy to miss. Just keep your eyes peeled for the sign.

It’s a small, family owned operation with only one screen, so there are only a couple of movies playing at a time.

As you pull in, you’ll quickly realize the place isn’t fancy, but that’s part of the vintage fun! In addition to a huge screen, the grounds include a concession stand.

While outside food and drinks are permitted, concession stand purchases are encouraged, as that’s the main source of funding for the theater. But with popcorn, pickles, nachos, hot dogs, and more, you probably won’t mind purchasing refreshments on site.

The drive-in is open Friday, Saturday, and Monday, and usually has two showings each night. Tickets can be purchased at the box office, which opens at 7 p.m.

After purchasing your tickets, pull in and get cozy. You can even bring along some lawn chairs or a blanket if you prefer to watch the movie outside of your vehicle.
