But if you’re looking for a different kind of treasure hunting, we’ve found an enormous barn in Upstate New York that’s filled with books that are just waiting to be taken home with you. Ready to fill up those empty spaces on your shelves? Because it’s impossible to walk out of the Saratoga Book Warehouse empty-handed.
Head up to Saratoga Springs and make your way down an old gravel road to discover an enormous barn filled with an endless supply of books.

The Saratoga Book Warehouse has been open since 2012, becoming a local paradise for anyone interested in diving into the deep collection of books that are housed here.

But unlike other book warehouses, the Saratoga Book Warehouse operates without an actual staff and on an honor system where you hold your books up to a camera before putting your money into a lockbox and heading on your merry way.

As you make your way through the barn, you’ll find attached rooms and connected buildings built off of each other - creating a sort of fun house of books for you to make your way through.

While some rooms have books sorted by genre, part of the fun of visiting this huge warehouse is that you’ll have to do some treasure hunting and dig through all these books to see what’s really here.
