La Crosse’s Rotary Lights is one of the most spectacular displays you’ll ever see. With more than four million lights set up right along the Mississippi River, you’ll truly feel like you’re in a winter wonderland. You can choose to drive or walk through the display, but if the weather permits, we definitely recommend getting out and strolling along the paths to really feel immersed in the gorgeous feeling of the holiday glow. Get ready to embark on the best winter hike in Wisconsin.

There is no charge to view the rotary lights, though they do ask for a food or cash donation. In previous years, more than 300,000 pieces of food were collected and donated to local programs. Volunteers are set up at the entrance to collect the donations.

This display is truly stunning and one of a kind. Its location right on the edge of the Mississippi River gives the display that extra bit of magic as the lights twinkle off the water.
