The hotel’s popularity decreased substantially after the booming Comstock days started to dwindle. It changed names a bunch of times, and changed owners just as much. For a long time hit was known as the Pony Express Hotel and it became a hotspot of violence and crime. It was definitely in need of a positive change!

Today, the St. Charles Hotel is one of the most unique places to stay in Carson City. It’s been beautifully renovated in order to stay updated but it’s also retained a delightful historic charm. There are two rooms on the hotel’s second floor that are available to rent through AirBnB.

The rooms are actually cozy studios, complete with a private bath and kitchenette. Each studio contains one bed and can accommodate up to two guests. The hotel can also accommodate long term stays, and you’ll find that it’s home to many happy permanent residents.
