This year, the Ohio Renaissance Festival is celebrating 30 years of taking Ohioans back to the 16th Century. If you’re looking for something unique to do with the family, every Saturday and Sunday until October 27 this one-of-a-kind festival takes place in southern Ohio near Waynesville. Welcome to the Ohio Renaissance Festival, where more than 160,000 Ohioans gather each year for some Medieval fun, scrumptious turkey legs and a temporary trip back in time.

From late August to early October, this massive festival takes place at a permanent site in Warren County. Thirty acres have been transformed into a 16th Century English village.

More than 150 costumed characters will welcome you and there’s plenty of live entertainment to enjoy, from musical performances to full armor jousting.

Each day, there are three full armor jousting matches at the Arena of Champions. The Knights of Valour joust at 12:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
