This fall, there’s a beautiful event happening at our very own Botanica Gardens that you’ll want to visit. It’s all about beautiful (and rarely seen in Kansas) orchids!

It’s the Kansas Orchid Society’s fall show and sale, where you can view all sorts of exotic orchids and even purchase one to take care of yourself if you feel inclined.

The species available to purchase here aren’t usually in our area, as they’re taken care of by their owners until they’re ready to become part of your home’s plant collection.

They certainly come in many shapes, from the rounder shape we’re used to seeing in stores like Dillons to other thinner-petal species with a more exotic shape.

2019’s fall show is open at no cost to the public on November 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on November 3 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m..
