When it comes to the holidays, Louisiana pulls out all the stops. For Christmas lights, towns like Natchitoches and the Acadian Village are absolutely enchanting, and who wouldn’t want to take a stroll through Celebration in the Oaks during the holiday season? There’s one extra special holiday attraction that’s coming to Louisiana this year, and you’re not going to want to miss it. The Holiday Express Train is coming to Louisiana, and it’s making stops in a few towns across the state, so chances are you won’t have to travel far to see this incredible holiday display. All aboard!
The KCS Holiday Express is coming to Louisiana this season, and this is one event you don’t want to miss.

The six-car train is making stops in multiple cities across the country, and it’ll be making a stop at several Louisiana towns from the end of November until early December.

Kids and adults will be mesmerized by the train at night when it’s all lit up.

The Holiday Express was created in 2001 when volunteers decided to transform retired rail cars into this chanting holiday attraction.

There are six cars: the tank car named Rudy, a flatcar that carries Santa’s sleigh, reindeer, and a miniature village, a gingerbread boxcar, the elves’ workshop, a reindeer stable, and of course, a little red caboose.

You’ll be able to visit with Santa and his elves and take a tour through the train. You’ll get a tour of three of the cars, each one filled with holiday displays.

The event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required to see this special holiday event!
