Each November, the Small Town Mississippi exhibit gets even better, as it’s used to hold the museum’s Harvest Festival.

Any visit to Small Town Mississippi is like taking a step back in time. However, history really comes to life during the festival thanks to a variety of live demonstrations.

Demonstrations include the operation of a sawmill, cane mill, print shop, blacksmith shop, and America’s oldest operating cotton gin!

But you can do more than revisit the past at the Harvest Festival.

Wagon, train, and carousel rides are available each day for just $1.

During the festival, the general store and the filling station will be open, selling snacks and souvenirs.
