There are pieces of the history of Kentucky scattered all about our state. You can tour historic homes, walk along old streets in big cities, and drive around in the country to see what you can discover. It’s remarkable how structures that are decades old remain standing and covered bridges are especially fascinating. There are many in the Bluegrass State, but the Goddard White Covered Bridge in Kentucky is definitely one of the most scenic. The only remaining bridge of its kind, this covered bridge in Kentucky is truly unique and a beautiful site to see.

This historic bridge, known as both the Goddard White Bridge and the Goddard Covered Bridge, is located in Fleming County in northeast Kentucky.

The original date of construction is unknown, but there are a few things we know about its past.

It is also the last surviving example of Ithiel Town Lattice design in Kentucky.

The interior of the bridge gets as much, if not more attention than the exterior.
