Sometimes, you find extraordinary things in ordinary places, and that’s exactly the case with the Glass Chapel, which is hiding in the small town of Sparta. Part of the Paul and Matilda Wegner Grotto, the chapel is made of colorful shards of glass. Even more impressive is the fact that it’s surrounded by an array of sculptures — all of which are made of glass. Take a look:
Located along Daylight Road in Sparta, the Glass Church is the centerpiece of the Wegner Grotto.

The grotto is named in honor of its creators Paul and Matilda Wegner, who, in 1929, set out to create a “sculpture complex” that was both eye-catching and unique.
