Visitors centers are often under-appreciated hidden gems. Many people wouldn’t pass them without much more than a glance, and those who live in the area probably couldn’t care less about them. The visitors center in Fargo, North Dakota, however, deserves that second glance and an actual visit for some of the cool things it has. It’s so much more than a place with brochures and maps – it’s got attractions of its own.

The Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center, located right off of I-94 on the North Dakota side, is so much more than your average visitors center. Stop by and see what it has to offer, and you’ll find it is a hidden gem.

Additionally, one of the coolest things about this place is that it’s now home to the Fargo Walk of Fame. With quite an interesting backstory, this visitors center is a fitting place for it to end up.

Outside you’ll also see a wood chipper, which is just a hint as to what’s inside the center itself: the actual wood chipper prop from the cult-classic movie Fargo. This makes for a great photo op with the prop leg as an added effect.

If you’re a fan of the movie, you’ll find even more bits and pieces from the filming and production. It’s only fitting that all this stuff end up right in the city it’s named after, and it just adds more fun to the Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center.
