There’s a lot to love about Christmas in Wisconsin – and the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is one of them. Each year, set aglow by twinkling lights, the festive train heads out on a journey to spread some holiday cheer. The 2019 schedule was just released, and luckily, Wisconsin is one of the six states the Holiday Train will stop in. Read on for all the details, so you don’t miss this Yuletide treat.
Canadian Pacific’s Holiday Train made its first journey back in 1999. Over the past 20 years, it’s become a favorite holiday event for many – and it’s sure to become one of yours, too.

Like a Christmas light show on wheels, the train is 1,000 feet long and made up of 14 rail cars, which are covered in twinkling LEDs and holiday designs.

Each year, the Holiday Train travels through several U.S. states and Canadian provinces. The 2019 route includes stops in just six states - and Wisconsin is one of them.

According to the schedule, the train will arrive in Sturtevant on December 2nd between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. After leaving Sturtevant, it will make 12 other stops in Wisconsin, the last of which will be in La Crosse on December 4th.

Though it’s truly a mesmerizing site, there’s more to the train than meets the eye.

At each stop, the train transforms into a pop-up convert venue. This year, Meghan Patrick, Tanika Charles, and Kelly Prescott will perform at all of the Wisconsin stops.

The best thing about the Holiday Train, though, is that it’s all for a good cause – fighting hunger. In exchange for the holly jolly entertainment, attendees are asked to make a donation to their local food bank.
