We’ve been talking a lot about New Hampshire’s fall foliage and we’re not backing down yet! With a few weeks to go of beautifully changing leaves, we’re on the hunt for all the best ways to see them. The most refreshing way is to be outside, surrounded by them. Before you start lacing up those hiking boots remember that getting outside can be a leisurely experience. Walk across this covered bridge for some seriously great sights. It might just be the best way to see fall foliage in New Hampshire.
The Blair Bridge in Campton was built in 1829 allowing Blair Road to cross the Pemigewasset River.

It’s a beautiful bridge, but it’s also considered to be cursed. It was burned down a few years later and the river was left with no way to cross it.

Until a doctor attempting to get across lost his horse to drowning where the bridge once stood. At that point, the locals determined the bridge was a vital part of the community and it was rebuilt in 1869.

Today it offers a great way to see the surrounding nature, which is especially beautiful in the fall months.

To explore the bridge head to Blair Road which runs between Route 3 and Route 175. When you arrive you’ll see a parking area on one side.

The bridge is meant for vehicular traffic which will move across one at a time. Be sure to cross at a time when no cars in present.

Be sure to explore the surrounding area including the trails that lead down to the water.
