The best way to explore Wyoming’s natural beauty is by lacing up your hiking boots and getting out on a trail. You don’t have to be a hard-core hiker to enjoy nature; there are plenty of trails that are easy enough for just about everyone. There’s a popular trail in Yellowstone National Park that’s super short, and so easy that you might just convince the non-hiker in your life to get out there a little more often.
For a short, easy hike with views of Yellowstone’s most impressive waterfall, head to the Canyon Area of the park.
The trail is located off South Rim Drive, and it’s just a short one-tenth of a mile stroll to the lookout.

This stunning canyon looks like something right out of a fairytale. The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone really does take your breath away. You’ll feel very small in comparison to this 1,000-foot-deep canyon.

If you feel like exploring this area more, continue on to Point Sublime. It’s just over 2.5 miles, out and back. Though this path isn’t completely paved, it is fairly level and considered easy.

From Point Sublime, you can head back down the trail to Artist Point, or you can continue on to get a glance at Ribbon Lake.

Ribbon lake is just a little over a mile from Point Sublime, and it’s a quiet little lake that’s perfect for a picnic break.
Greg Berlin/Alltrails Because this trail is located in Yellowstone National Park, you certainly won’t have it to yourself, but in later autumn months it’s a lot less crowded.
