Winter weather got you down? Escape the snow and cold and enjoy summer a little bit early at this special North Dakota event. The city of Mandan will be hosting its annual Winter Daze Week in 2020 that anyone can go enjoy. Different days will have different activities, most for free, and here’s how you can take advantage of this opportunity for yourself:
If these frigid temperatures and snow have you longing for summer, you can get a taste of it early at Mandan’s Winter Daze Week, happening throughout January 19th to the 26th in 2020. This will be the 38th annual holding of the event, so you can be sure it’ll be great.

Winter Daze Week is all about bringing the community together with fun activities that don’t require being bundled up in boots, jackets, and snow pants. People of all ages can come and enjoy the week full of activities that include things like a free swim at the Mandan Aquatic Center.

A fun luau will be taking place during the festivities on January 19th. There will be pool games, contests, and fun things like photo ops to get everyone in the tropical spirit.

Along with the free swim and luau, an indoor volleyball tournament will be taking place from the 25th to the 26th of the month. There is time to sign your team up until January 15th, 2020, so if you’re feeling game you can give it a try!

The fun doesn’t stop there. Seniors can enjoy indoor activities like bingo and cards, plus free refreshments, on three nights during the Winter Daze Week. A free public skate will be taking place on January 20th at the Starion Sports Complex.
