Gooey, melty cheese, rich sauce, and your favorite pick of toppings… There’s nothing quite as satisfying as a couple of slices of pizza to fill your empty belly. Northern California is home to tons of really great pizza parlors, but we love this little hole-in-the-wall located seemingly in the middle of nowhere in Plumas County.

This pizzeria has been around for almost 20 years and is located on the Lake Almanor peninsula.

It was started by Art and Barb Tantardino and is now run by their daughter Trish (Tantardino) Sableman. They use old family recipes in their simple Italian dishes, savory pizzas and delicious sandwiches.

And if you’re still hungry, try the other items on the menu. Here’s one of their specials, butternut squash ravioli.

And don’t forget an appetizer! If you have spent all day playing on the lake or in the woods, this is a great place to stop for a friendly and unforgettable meal.
