Bringing you to the heart of the Mountain State, it’s time to grab all your family and friends because there’s a newly-opened science center in Charleston that you’re going to want to check out!

This inconspicuous looking building in the Southridge Shopping Center plaza, West Virginia is now home to its own T-Rex Science Center.

Filling up a massive 26,000-square-foot space, the T-Rex Science Center is officially open and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

A great place to spend an afternoon indoors with the entire family, this dinosaur-themed attraction is unlike anything else in our state.

As you explore the huge space, you’ll find yourself in a sea of dinosaur bones and fossil castings - with even a casting of the Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton that was found in South Dakota in 1988 on display!

Volunteer paleontologists will be spending time at the center to talk with visitors, while you can always find other helpful people here to further tell you all about what’s inside the center.

Visitors can go panning for gemstones while they’re here, too!

If you don’t have enough time to stop in and explore the entire science center, you can also choose to visit the Gift Shop that’s open to the public for free without admission.

Shop around the store for plush dinosaurs, gemstones, jewelry made from fossils, and other dinosaur-themed goodies. Every purchase helps to keep the center up and running.
