If you’re fortunate enough to not suffer from claustrophobia, Six Flags in San Antonio has a Halloween attraction that just might be your cup of tea. Sleep in a closed coffin for 30 hours, only seeing the sunlight for designated breaks. What’s that sound outside the opaque wooden structure? Could it be a creature lurking outside your humble abode? You’ll just have to wait and see…

Each year, Six Flags hosts “Fright Fest,” a nearly two-month long celebration of all things that go bump in the night. One of the most terrifying attractions is the 30-Hour Coffin Challenge, in which those brave enough will be forced to lie still in a closed casket for over an entire day.

Six brave participants will spend 30 hours in a coffin, all alone, with no connection to the outside world. Designated bathroom breaks every three hours are the only opportunities you’ll have to stand up.

If that doesn’t sound terrifying enough as it is, a ghoulish group of inhuman creatures will be lurking about in the darkness. Fog, dramatic lighting, and flash photography promise to test your resolves in unimaginable ways. Participants can also expect to endure special challenges such as being covered in worms and going on a solo scavenger hunt through haunted houses.

Upon completion of the challenge, only one winner will be crowned. $600 cash, two 2020 season passes to the park, and free admission to Fright Fest make up the prize.
