The Sipsey Wilderness, which was established n 1975, is located within North Alabama’s William B. Bankhead National Forest. It’s an absolute must-visit for anyone who enjoys hiking.

Speaking of hiking, this scenic wilderness area features 45 miles of trails. Because the trails’ level of difficulty range from easy to moderate, pretty much anyone can explore them.

The Sipsey Wilderness covers nearly 26,000 acres, which makes it Alabama’s largest wilderness area. It’s also the Yellowhammer State’s most visited wilderness spot. People travel from all over the country, and even world, to explore this popular hiking destination.
