If you’ve been inside Siesta Key Oyster Bar, then you’ve probably seen the thousands upon thousands of dollar bills hanging on these iconic walls from patrons over the years.

But just recently, the Siesta Key Oyster Bar employees started taking down those dollar bills one by one in order to donate to the victims of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas.

Once the staff saw the destruction caused by this hurricane in the Bahamas, they wanted to do everything in their power to help.

The total that was taken off the walls was nearly $14,000. Even the employees had no idea that much money was peppering their walls.

Many bar patrons at Siesta Key Oyster Bar are excited for the donation, citing that they themselves hung up a decorated dollar within the past few years and now it’s on its way to help out a place in need.
