If you tend to agree with that philosophy, you’ll definitely want to add this nine-mile hike along the Mason Dixon Trail in Pennsylvania to your bucket list. In exchange for the challenges you’ll face along the way, you’ll be rewarded with sensational views of natural pools, waterfalls, and beautiful scenery.
Get ready for a challenge with sensational rewards when you embark on the nine-mile Mason-Dixon Trail, part of the larger 196-mile trail that travels through Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

Find a space in the parking lot near Lock 12 of the Susquehanna Canal, then head to the lock, where you’ll find the trailhead.

Follow the blue blazes of the trail, and pay attention to the signs along the way. If you hear the sirens signaling the river is rising, for example, evacuate the area immediately.
