Tickfaw State Park is just about an hour’s drive from the city and features 1,200 acres of some of the most beautiful natural scenery you’ve ever seen. Now that the weather is starting to cool down, it’s the perfect time to lace up those hiking shoes and set off on an adventure. Let’s take a closer look at what makes this state park so special.
Tickfaw State Park is located in Springfield, Louisiana. This Livingston Parish town may be tiny, clocking in at less than 500 residents, but it’s home to one of the most beautiful state parks in Louisiana.

The 1,200 acre state park opened up in 1999 and quickly became a popular attraction for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature for a while.

After you’ve strolled through the miles of boardwalk trails, you can rent a canoe and set off on the canoe trails to explore the Tickfaw River from an entirely new perspective.
