The city of Roseville holds an annual “floating pumpkin patch”, and it’s actually quite amazing! Both young and old will have a blast as they swim around while looking for the perfect pumpkin to take home with them. This year, the Floating Pumpkin Patch will take place on October 20, 2019. Everybody, including locals and travelers alike, are welcome to join in on the fun. Admission is $10, and children under age 2 are free.

Of course, the highlight of this eccentric event is the “floating” pumpkin patch, which is actually the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool with a bunch of pumpkins floating in it. Hop in the pool with your kiddos and begin your hunt for that perfect Halloween pumpkin.

Once you’ve picked your pumpkin, you can head on over to the decorating station and spruce it up to your heart’s desire. This is definitely a unique way of doing things, but we have to admit that we kind of love it!

On top of everything else, the event also offers all sorts of kid-friendly fun from bounce houses to story times. And yes, costumes are definitely encouraged, so remember to bring it along with your swim suit.
