Rosedale Barbecue Has Served Kansas Since 1934 Only In Your State

Barbecue and Kansas go together like cinnamon rolls and chili, and whether you’re a bigger fan of the meat or the sauce, you can’t deny how good a plate of ribs can be. Welcome to the longstanding Rosedale BBQ, a barbecue restaurant that’s served the Kansas City area since 1934, and plans to keep going as long as we’ll have them.

The restaurant was founded by a man named Anthony Rieke, his wife Alda, and his brother in law Tony back in July 1934. It started as a hot dog and beer stand, but when you crave barbecue you either find it or make your own. They took what money they had and set up their BBQ stand 100 feet away and fired up the first barbecue pit that would start their legacy.

Today, they still remain successful despite how popular barbecue is in the area. They just make it too good to refuse, and we can’t help but come back for more.

Rosedale is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays.
