We love a good bakery. Any time of day and any occasion are a great reason to stop into a bakery. It’s often hard to resist the temptation…not that we’re even trying. On a recent search for some new-to-us spots, we remembered this gem. One of the only Polish bakeries in the state, it’s a wonderful place to get some treats to share. Or, keep them all for yourself. We won’t tell.
The Polish Princess is a wonderful bakery that’s been around since 2008.

The bakery got its start when owner, Magdalena Randall, baked 18 loaves of bread all on her own.
Polish Princess Bakery / Google She then brought them to the Lancaster Farmers’ Market and sold out almost right away. A business idea was born and in 2015 she moved into her own place.
Things here are run by Randall. And we’re so glad that she’s taken on the heavy lifting of all this baking.

This Lancaster, New Hampshire spot is known for their exceptional breads. Just what makes them so good?
Polish Princess Bakery / Facebook The goal here is so to be the best bread in the area and they’ve certainly achieved it! The nutritious and delicious treats coming out are made using special ingredients, including unbleached un-bromated flours and freshly ground whole grain flours from local mill.
Try a bialy, which is similar to a bagel, but without the pesky hole in the middle. These have a filling, such as onions.

We love that most of the menu items here come with some sort of Polish fair, including this soup that comes with a hearty chunk of rye bread!
