So, what makes the burgers so good? It’s how they’re cooked, which is with water and onions. A tried and true method, the burgers have been prepared the same since Pete’s opened all those years ago.

As far as toppings go, you can forget about lettuce, cheese, or most other usual options. At Pete’s you’ll have a choice of “with” or “without,” which refers to whether or not you want onions on your burger.

Ketchup and mustard are the only other topping options; however, the burgers are so good, an abundance of toppings isn’t necessary.

The buns are nearly as good as the burgers, which makes sense when you learn that they’re baked fresh daily at the nearby Huckleberry’s.
