“If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.”
If you live in New Hampshire and love exploring waterfalls, there’s a good chance you’ve heard this from someone you know. You see, some people just don’t understand that each waterfall is unique and special, which is why we continue our search for some of our favorites throughout the state. While located within a trail network that many people know about, not everyone realizes that one of the most popular falls is actually technically located underground. Check it out!
Head to Kinsman Notch in North Woodstock to explore one of our favorite (yes, we’ll admit it!) tourist attractions. But this isn’t just any busy New Hampshire attraction. This one is well worth the money and we’ll tell you why.

First, some background. The gorge and caves were created by melting Ice Age glaciers. The resulting water rushed through the area, taking debris along with it. This carved the deeps chasms folks come here to explore.
