A trip around our state can include a wide array of experiences, including one you may never think to look for on this side of the Atlantic. Sister to Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs, which we covered previously, Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel is just about perfect. Unique places to stay overnight abound in Texas, but this one just might take the cake. Antlers Inn in Kingsland features four real train cars that have been converted into quaint little guest rooms. All three cabooses were once fully operational and have been refurbished as little as possible to retain authenticity. Each car still has the conductor’s area in the front, so little ones (and the young at heart!) can ring the bell and feel like big shots....
