Beavers Bend State Park is a 1,300-acre state park surrounded by majestic beauty, crystal clear water, and endless recreation. Lower Mountain Fork River runs right through the park, so you get a front row seat to the fall scenery right from the water.

There are several local outfitters that rent kayaks and canoes…or you can bring your own and save the money.

The portion that runs through the park is a 2-mile loop with pretty calm waters. There are no big rapids in this stretch, so if you don’t want to get wet, this is the perfect place to go.

Another place to enter the river is at Mt. Fork Park, just below the Re-regulation Dam, nine miles below the Broken Bow dam. If you paddle down this stretch, you’ll encounter a few more rapids than the section through Beavers Bend State Park.
