There are a plethora of apple orchards in this region of the state, but Boa Vista is definitely one of the oldest. Initially opened in 1915, it’s been owned and operated by the same family for five generations.

Interestingly enough, the orchard was almost entirely made up of pear trees up until 1960. It wasn’t until the pear trees had to be removed due to a disease that was spreading throughout the region that the orchard shifted focus to apple trees.
